Our Mission
Common Grounds exists for one simple reason — to give faith-minded people a place to connect with one another. Not just inside the four walls of a church building, but out in the world, doing the things they love alongside others who share their faith.
Whether you want to host a Bible study, organize a hiking trip, teach a cooking class, lead a motorcycle ride, or just invite someone to coffee — this is your platform. Anyone can create an event. Anyone can attend. The only requirement is a willing heart.

Common Grounds will always be free to use. Period. No subscriptions, no premium tiers, no selling your data, no ads. This site was built out of a desire to serve the community — not to profit from it.
Running a website costs money — servers, storage, email, and bandwidth. As those costs grow, we rely entirely on the generosity of churches, organizations, and individuals who believe in what we're doing and choose to contribute to keep the lights on. Every dollar goes directly to operational costs. Nothing more.

Terms of Use
By using Common Grounds you agree to use the platform in a manner consistent with its intended purpose — connecting faith-minded people through community events. You agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. Common Grounds reserves the right to remove any content or suspend any account that violates these terms.
Event Disclaimer
Common Grounds is a platform that connects event organizers with attendees. We do not organize, sponsor, or endorse any event listed on this site. Events are created entirely by individual users. Common Grounds is not responsible for the content, safety, accuracy, or outcome of any event. Participants attend events at their own risk. We strongly encourage all event organizers to follow applicable local laws, obtain any necessary permits, and prioritize the safety of all attendees.
Event Retention Policy
Events on Common Grounds are automatically and permanently deleted 30 days after their event date. This keeps the platform clean, relevant, and focused on upcoming activities. All comments and attendee information associated with an expired event are also removed at that time. If you would like to preserve a record of a past event, please save that information before the 30-day window expires. Common Grounds does not archive or restore deleted events.
No Affiliation with Any Church or Denomination
Common Grounds is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any specific church, denomination, or religious organization. The platform is open to all faith-minded individuals regardless of denomination or background.
Privacy & Data
We collect only the information necessary to provide the service — your name, email address, and general location (city/state). We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your email address is used solely for authentication and communication related to Common Grounds. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us.
Limitation of Liability
Common Grounds is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Common Grounds and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of this platform, attendance at any event, or reliance on any content posted by users.
Content Ownership
Users retain ownership of the content they post on Common Grounds. By posting, you grant Common Grounds a non-exclusive license to display that content on the platform. We do not claim ownership of your event descriptions, photos, or comments.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of Common Grounds after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
